Karikari was always going to be a place that would grow high quality red wines, if only because of the climate. This has proven to be the case, with deep colour, flavour and strong character being features of the wines. Now that an understanding of these basic characters has been established, the winemaking team is refining its winemaking techniques to achieve the highest possible quality and best expression of Karikari character.
