Our first Karikari Estate Merlot, unlike our Calypso Merlot this wine has spent 6 weeks on the skins during fermentation. We then let it settle in our large stainless steel tanks for 7 months before racking into 70% French, 30% American oak barrels.

This has produced an aromatic, full bodied Merlot. With soft tannins and bold structure. A hit of red fruit such as cherry, blackberry on the palate. A lingering finish with sweet notes of raisin.
